Beyond the quarterbacks

Area Greats

Quarterbacks made Shreveport famous. These are the backs, receivers, linemen and defenders who made it a football town.

Quarterbacks made Shreveport famous, but they never did it alone. The same fields produced Gary Johnson, a defensive tackle from Mitchell High; Gaynell Tinsley, an end from Homer High; Joe Delaney, a running back from Haughton High; and Devin White, a linebacker from North Webster High. There are Hall of Famers, Pro Bowlers and All-Americans at every position.

The quarterbacks have their own home in the QB Family Tree. Here, each position group takes a color from the city flag.
